Sandra at The FREE Rockers In Recovery Concert February 12, 2011

April 3, 2011 at 7 PM EST on Rockers In Recovery we will be interviewing Sandra Huffman on WWNN AM 1470 and her walk for recovery scheduled to start in June 2011. Sandra will tell us how this vision began and how she is working to save lives along the way from Ft. Lauderdale to Washington DC.

Listen live in south Florida at WWNN AM 1470 or on our streamer worldwide at: http://radio.securenetsystems.net/radio_player_large.cfm?stationCallSign=WWNN

Help Sandra Huffman sow a trail of mustard seeds to cultivate messages of hope, healing, and recovery to victims of Addiction/Abuse and Homelessness. “Sandra’s Walk” will begin on June 4, 2011 on the Fort Lauderdale beach. I plan to arrive in Washington, D.C. by September 2011 to participate in DC-based Recovery Month. Then on to activities such as PRO-ACT’s Recovery Walks in my Hometown of Royersford & Philadelphia plus surrounding areas during the entire month.

Sandra Huffman a Recovering Addict will be walking 1300 miles from Fort Lauderdale to Washington DC and then to Philadelphia to Celebrate National Recovery Month and Sandra’s 5 yrs of being Clean and Sober’’.

August 19th 1981 Sandra ran away from The Meridian Home for Girls in Royersford Pa to the Streets of Fort Lauderdale FL. June 4th 2011 with 5 years of being sober she will be Walking Home. Yes, most of the walk will have much to do with the Homeless; we are collecting the Hygiene Care Packages and will distribute them along the way. But sad to say that most of the people they will be reaching out to will be Abused Men, Women and Families of Alcoholics & Addicts. Sandra’s message is of Faith, Hope and Healing.

Sandra and the Mustard Seeds of Hope Necklaces:

I was given a “Mustard Seed” 5 years ago now I have several…I choose to share those seeds with my Brothers and Sisters Click here for more information on Sandra’s walk and who it will benefit.

Our Necklaces are how we actually will support ourselves To free us to do all the work it takes to get ready for and Buy The Physical needs & Equipment of a 1300 mile walk. Also we use this money to Buy Recovery Related Merchandise like Recovery Music CD’s and Tee Shirts to give away at some of the Centers where we will be stopping along the way. We buy these to Support our Brothers and Sisters in Recovery that Sing The Songs that only WE UNDERSTAND or Make Tee Shirts only WE WOULD WEAR!!

Click To Order Here

These are just a few of several different “Intuitive Inspirations” I have received while creating these 100% by hand….There are many more and you just don’t know what message you will get when you order.

I Believe in my Heart that you should not pick & choose just trust that the one you are sent is meant for you or whomever you are buying it for. When doing this in person I hold several in my hand and have someone pick a random cord…They usually end up crying when they read what it said…I hear a lot of Thank You’s but the messages do not come from me as I pray on each one as I am turning it over & over in my hand thinking of the person that may receive it…

So pick and choose if you like but think about taking that leap of Faith and just GOING FOR IT. $13.00 including shipping gives you one to keep and the other gets a tag that says “Please accept this gift from-”Your name”. She/He has faith in you” and it will be given to someone in one of the shelters we are stopping at on our way to D.C and then on to Philadelphia”. How to donate though Mustard Seed necklace

Here are some of the Musicians and Organizations that will be helping with sponsorship: Richie Supa, Ricky Byrd, 12 Step Music Fest and No Matter What Production, In The Rooms, and Rockers In Recovery Radio and Productions. Want more information on how to be a sponsor Click Here.

Mark Stein of Vanilla Fudge

Rockers In Recovery and The East Coast Music Scene are pleased to announce our interview on Tuesday April 5th 2011 at 2 PM EST with Mark Stein of the 60’s rock group Vanilla Fudge. With the on set of The Vanilla Fudge Reunion Tour happening across the United States. It is our pleasure and honor to have Mark on as a guest. Listen Live on WWNN 1470 AM radio in South Florida or listen live at our streamer http://radio.securenetsystems.net/radio_player_large.cfm?stationCallSign=WWNN

Mark Stein is the lead vocalist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger of Vanilla Fudge. Mark first founded Vanilla Fudge in 1966 at the age of 18 with members Tim Bogert, Vinny Martell, and Carmine Appice. In the short time they were together the band enjoyed their first giant success with their first Atco album release self-entitled Vanilla Fudge.

The first album was a ground-breaking work since it was the first album to reach the top ten on Billboard’s charts without a hit single. The legendary rock arrangement of You Keep Me Hangin’ On became the band’s first hit single nearly two years after the release of the first album.

During the 1960’s the Fudge were one of rock’s most exciting, high-energy touring bands, setting the stage for the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, Deep Purple, and even Led Zeppelin. Through a total of five albums and the tireless touring, the legendary Vanilla Fudge influenced artists around the world with their inspired performances and unique musical interpretations. Bands like Yes, The Who, Deep Purple, and many others have credited Vanilla Fudge with having a profound effect on their music, and the overall musical renaissance of the late ’60s. The band’s influence is still felt even today.

After the demise of the Fudge in the spring of 1970, Mark took a hiatus from the ‘Rock Wars’ and decided he wanted to develop his writing and playing skills even further. After flirting with a solo career, he resurfaced with The Tommy Bolin Band in the mid 70’s. This was a highly regarded group that had the likes of Narda Michael Walden on drums, Reggie McBride on bass, Norma Jean Bell on sax, and Mark on keyboards and sharing vocals with the great Tommy Bolin. The Tommy Bolin Band was a high energy rock-fusion influenced band that attracted people like John McLaughlin, Jan Hammer, and Jeff Beck, to name a few, to come see the band play live. It was during this time that Mark made the transition from the Hammond B-3 organ to synthesizers. Mark toured and recorded with Bolin (then Private Eyes album), and left the Bolin band just prior to Tommy’s premature death.

After working on several writing projects, Mark joined Alice Cooper in the “Welcome To My Nightmare” show, and toured Australia and New Zealand. Upon his return to the states he hooked up with Dave Mason who produced Mark’s solo album on CBS Records in 1979. The album was never released, however. Mason then asked Mark to join forces with him and Mark toured and recorded with David for the better part of four years. Mark penned five tunes on Mason’s Old Crest On A New Wave album, and sang backing vocals with Michael Jackson on the track Save Me.

In 1983, Mark re-signed with Atlantic Records to do a Vanilla Fudge reunion album entitled Mystery, appearing once again as lead vocalist / keyboardist. In 1987 the Fudge did a three month U.S. tour, and recorded a ‘live’ album during some of those dates. The last time the band appeared live was at the Atlantic 40th Anniversary show May 14, 1988, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

ABOUT ROBERT E. GLUCK

With over twenty years of practicing as a Florida personal injury Attorney, Mr. Gluck has litigated and/or settled thousands of personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, slip and falls, construction accidents, boating accidents and every other type of case imaginable, obtaining millions of dollars from insurance companies throughout the United States. Do not leave your future to chance, let your Florida personal injury attorney Robert E. Gluck, P.A. and his team of personal injury professionals help you find the answers you need to make informed decisions, which could have a lasting impact on your future.

Experience

Upon graduating from the University of South Florida with Honors, with an Undergraduate Degree in Political Science, Mr. Gluck, attended the University of Miami School of Law, during which time clerked for Janet Reno, who was the State Attorney in Dade County, Florida at the time. Mr. Gluck received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1989 and graduated Cum Laude (top 10% of his class). Mr. Gluck also was the Associate Editor of the Entertainment and Sports Law Review and was the school mock trial champion and represented the University of Miami in the National Mock Trial Competition, which he came in second place, nationally. Upon being admitted to the Florida Bar, Mr. Gluck began his law career as an Assistant State Attorney for Janet Reno, prosecuting complex criminal cases. While an Assistant State Attorney for Janet Reno, Mr. Gluck learned much about the complexities of practicing law and he remains grateful for that experience. During his tenure over the next several years, Mr. Gluck worked for Friedman and Associates, P.A., a large Florida personal injury firm in North Miami. During his tenure with the firm however, Mr. Gluck discovered that such a large organization often falls short when it comes to providing service to its’ clients on a personal level. Therefore, in 1998, he made the decision to start his own personal injury practice and founded Robert E. Gluck, P.A.

Over the years Mr. Gluck has built his practice on the belief that personal injury victims need a Florida lawyer who is aggressive, determined and accessible. His philosophy, along with his sterling reputation with defense attorneys and insurance adjusters, has given his firm the edge in obtaining large settlements or verdicts. Through memberships in the Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Florida Bar he is connected to a wealth of knowledge and is in touch with Court decisions as they occur.

If you have a case that falls outside his area of expertise, Mr. Gluck will provide quality referrals and work with those lawyers to insure that you receive the same kind of quality service clients have come to expect from Robert E. Gluck, P.A. He likes to refer to his firm as “home base”, where clients can contact him at any time regarding any legal matter. He will evaluate your situation and, if he cannot assist you, he will bring in other lawyers for the appropriate legal representation.

A Place to Find Answers to Difficult Questions, No Matter What Question You May Have

Mr. Gluck understands that finding a Florida personal injury attorney can sometimes be a bit overwhelming – even intimidating. That is why he prefers to think of his personal injury law firm as the sort of place where people can find the personal attention and one-on-one atmosphere that they would expect from a close friend or member of their own family.

Mr. Gluck also understands that personal injury law is very complex, involving tough decisions that carry lasting consequences. He listens to your concerns, provides the guidance that you need to navigate the intricate maze of “what ifs” and helps you find the answers to difficult questions.

Looking at Both Sides

Mr. Gluck has built his practice into one of the most successful in South Florida, in part by looking at each individual case from both sides of the fence. In particular, his knowledge of the insurance industry helps him anticipate and respond to issues in a proactive manner, saving precious time while maximizing resources on behalf of his clients. To that end, the Law Firm of Robert E. Gluck, P.A. has assembled a team of professionals that includes seasoned paralegals with a combined experience in excess of 50 years.

With this dynamic team in place, nothing is left to chance and important issues are given the sort of attention needed to insure a successful outcome on his clients’ behalf.

Call Robert E. Gluck Before You Make Important Decisions

Give him a call before you speak to the insurance company. The call is free and so is the initial consultation. In fact, Mr. Gluck works strictly on a contingency basis, meaning he does not get paid unless your case is settled or a judgment is obtained in a Court of Law. You will incur no out-of-pocket expenses, whether you win or lose the case. If you need a doctor and do not know who to see for the type of injury you have suffered, Mr. Gluck will suggest physicians who will bill your insurance company or obtain payment at the conclusion of your case.

Do not rely on the advice of non-professionals without legal experience. Your “Uncle Harry” may have your best interest at heart, yet your future is much too important to leave in the hands of someone other than a qualified legal professional. Each case is different and therefore comparisons by friends and family will only complicate matters and leave your frustrated.

Transportation can be provided to and from Mr. Gluck’s office at no charge and consultations can be arranged in your home or hospital room, if you cannot make it to the office.

Mr. Gluck has recently purchased an office condominium and the Firm has moved its’ primary offices to the Medical, Arts Professional Building at 333 N.W. 70th Avenue, just around the corner from Plantation City Hall. This location is easily accessible from I-75, I-595, I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. Mr. Gluck is also available for consultation in Miami, Dade and Palm.

We know you have many choices for personal injury, premises liability and negligent security attorneys in Florida, and we thank you for visiting The Law Offices of Robert E. Gluck, PA. on the Holistic Lifestyles Radio Network

Free Memorial Day Weekend Concert – Ricky Byrd and Kasim Sulton

by Holistic Lifestyles Radio on Apr.01, 2011, under Home

Free Concert Pompano Beach- Saturday May 28, 2011 1:30-6:30 PM EST: Ricky Byrd and Kasim Sulton will be the headlining act of The Memorial Day Weekend Concert. This is a free event to help spread the message of love, recovery, and hope. We are not a glum lot, so bring a new comer an come out and spend Saturday May 28, 2011 showing your love and gratitude of recovery.

The following is our lineup for the Concert:

Singer-songwriter-guitarist Ricky Byrd’s new CD which he describes as “one part acoustic soul, one part rock n roll” -marks quite a departure from his days with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Byrd is still rail-thin, still has the haystack of hair and a truckload of attitude, but maturity has served to deepen and expand his talent. Byrd says that the work on his latest project with producer Ray Kennedy “is a natural progression. I went back to the college of musical knowledge, listening to the songs that still, to this day, raise the hair on my arms. Digging deep, trying to find the secret ingredient, studying the craft of songwriting. Now I feel like I’ve got a pretty cool batch of my own songs and I’m ready to show them to the world.”

Billboard described Byrd’s last effort, a limited edition live CD called, with typical Byrd-esque humor, “Tough Room This World”: For many, Ricky Byrd needs no introduction. For others, a brief step back in time may be needed. After…Byrd parted ways with the Blackhearts (he) found himself collaborating with the likes of Roger Daltrey (and) Ian Hunter.

Apparently, others discovered what Jett had known all along: Byrd is one accomplished musician, singer and songwriter.” In fact, Jett and Daltrey (on his solo release “Rocks In The Head”) are among the many artists who have cut covers of Byrd’s material he’s had over 45 of his songs recorded by others — and his music has also been featured on television and in films.

Download Ricky Byrd’s new single “Broken Is A Place” to a CD and bring it with you to the Valentine’s Day Love Of Recovery Free Concert Saturday February 12, 2011. Ricky will signing the downloaded CD’s at 7:30 PM EST.

Richard’s song “Stone County Wanted Man”, which appeared on the “Supa’s Jamboree” album, was recorded by Johnny Winter for his “Saints and Sinners” album.

A longtime friend of Aerosmith, he has made a number of musical contributions to the band and has offered moral support. He temporarily replaced Joe Perry when he left the band in 1979 until a replacement was found. Additionally, he helped co-write several songs, including the hits “Chip Away the Stone” (1978), “Lightning Strikes” (1982), “Amazing” (1993), and “Pink” (1997), among others.

Supa co-wrote most of the songs on Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora’s second solo album Undiscovered Soul. He also wrote the song “Misery” for the album Missundaztood by Pink, on which Aerosmith’s singer Steve Tyler and Richie Sambora collaborated and co-wrote the song “My Interpretation” from Mika‘s debut album Life in Cartoon Motion. Darryl Strawberry

Darryl Eugene Strawberry (born March 12, 1962) is a former American Major League Baseball outfielder who is well-known both for his play on the field and for his controversial behavior off of it. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Strawberry was one of the most feared sluggers in the game, known for his prodigious home runs and his intimidating presence in the batter’s box with his 6-foot-6 frame and his long, looping swing that elicited comparisons to Ted Williams.[1] During his 17-year career, he helped lead the New York Mets to a World Series championship in 1986 and the New York Yankees to three World Series1996, 1998 and 1999. championships in

A popular player during his career, Strawberry was voted to the All-Star Game eight straight times from 1984–1991.

Strawberry is currently an analyst for the SNY. His memoir, “Straw: Finding My Way,” written in collaboration with author and cultural commentator John Strausbaugh, was published on April 28, 2009 by Ecco, an imprint of HarperCollins publishers.

He now resides in St. Charles County, Missouri with his wife Tracy whom he married in October 2006. He met Tracy, his third wife, in a drug recovery convention and the two have founded “The Darryl Strawberry Foundation,” an organization dedicated to children with autism.
